Rachel sat down, sipping another glass of water. Even after her nap, she still felt unusually fatigued. At least her headache was gone.

“How are you doing?” asked Angie.

“A bit better.”

“How about emotionally? You’ve been acting funny.”

Getting up for another glass of water seemed like a great excuse to not reply, so Rachel did just that. She did feel sort of off, but she just couldn’t put her finger on it.

“PMS?” she offered. That wasn’t too improbable. She was getting close to that time, she was moody, didn’t feel well, tired. And, the past couple of days, she had been experiencing some serious mood swings.

Angie nodded. “Maybe.”

Speaking of mood swings, Angie’s interest in her health irritated her. The logical part of her brain told her that it was just her sister being concerned. Plus, Angie had gotten quite a bit more into health since starting med school. Rachel took a deep breath and told herself that she was being irrational. “I’m fine, Angie. Really.”

“If you say so.”

Rachel drank the rest of her water, then bent over her younger sister and hugged her around the shoulders. “I’m fine, Agatha,” she said firmly. Even without being able to see her face, Rachel knew Angie’s nose had wrinkled at the use of her full name.

Reaching up, Rachel rubbed the back of her neck. The muscles were tight, like she was stressed. Maybe the thought of quitting her job and moving out here on a whim was stressing her out more than she realized. After all, she had felt fine until she had arrived at the shop.

“I don’t know what to do, Angie,” she admitted. “I keep weighing my options, but I can’t make up my mind.”

Angie wanted to tell her to hurry up and decide, but with Rachel’s emotional state now in question, Angie just wanted to make it easier for her. “We’ll do the sticker thing until you figure it out.”

Rachel sighed, and a little bit of guilt gnawed at her. She knew Angie wanted to leave as soon as possible “You can go back to school if you want. Jo and I can get by.”

Angie shook her head. She wanted to go, sure, but she wasn’t going to leave her sisters. “She was my aunt, too. I’m going to stay as long as I can.”

Rachel hugged her again. “Thanks, Angie.”

“So, what now? Stickers?”

“I guess.”

“You sound so enthused.”

The door opened and Jo bounced in. “Guess what I found in a drawer!” She held up a sushi menu. “Right up the street!”

Sushi was one of the few meals that all three of them always agreed on.

“Is it too early for sushi?” Angie pulled out her phone to check the time.

“I’m hungry enough,” Rachel said.

“If we walked, it would be lunch time by the time we get there,” Jo pointed out.

Even better than sushi, was the idea of getting out of there for a while. Angie couldn’t remember the last time they had just all gone shopping and sight-seeing together. The close quarters seemed to have them on edge, and this sounded like a great way to unwind.
